Trinity Hill ‘Hawke’s Bay’ Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 11-Mar-2013
Fruit from sites in Raukawa, Porongahau, Mangatahi and Bridge Pa, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 3.0 g/L rs. Bright, pale traw colour, pale on rim. The bouquet is light with fresh, clear gooseberry fruit aromas along with notes of limes and tropical fruits. Dry to taste and light-bodied, up-front and classical, but gentle flavours of gooseberries, capsicums, citrus fruits and fresh herbs show with a gentle succulence and sweet juiciness. This builds to show good depth to the fruit. Fresh, balanced acidity and a fine textural line provide a crisp, lively, thirst-quenching mouthfeel which leads to a gentle, dry finish. This is a light, up-front, gentle Sauvignon Blanc with luscious, mouthwatering gooseberry flavours. Serve with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. 17.0/20 Mar 2013 RRP $18.00
