100% Sauvignon Blanc from five cool sited vineyards in Raukawa, Porangahau, Mangatahi, Bridge Pa and the Gimblett Gravels, fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L rs Pale straw-yellow colour with hues of green and a pale rim. This has a light, fresh, but soft nose of English gooseberries, limes and white florals along with a hint of mineral. Dry to taste, the palate has mineral-infused gooseberry and white peach fruit flavours with sweetness and a degree of succulence enhanced by brisk acidity. The fruit weight is noticeable and fine textures add to the presence on the palate. The wine finishes softly and dry. Serve with vegetables, salads, seafood and white meat dishes over the next 2+ years. 17.0+/20 Oct 2011 RRP $19.00
