Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 22-Nov-2016
Bright, light strawberry pink colour with some depth, paler on the edge. The nose is light with fresh aromas of strawberries, cranberries and pomegranate entwined with delicate red florals and subtle, thirst-quenching mineral elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is crisp, elegant and refreshing with light, mouthwatering flavours of cranberries and pomegranate, with subtle strawberry and red floral notes. The palate has a soft richness and rounded mouthfeel, underlined by fresh, lacy acidity and very fine textures lending a thirst-quenching flow. The wine carries to a long, lingering, elegantly concentrated dry finish of strawberries and cranberries. This is an elegant, refreshing dry rosé with delicate cranberry, pomegranate and strawberry fruit flavours on a soft-textured palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. Montepulciano and Merlot fruit with portions of other red varieties, from the Gimblett Gravels and ‘Esprit’ vineyard, Raukawa in the Hawke’s Bay Hills, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 3.8 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Nov 2016 RRP $20.00
