Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 03-Jul-2018
Bright golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is full with soft aromas of yellow stonefruits and apricots harmoniously entwined with subtle notes of pears and yellow florals along with wild honey elements. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has gently sweet and accessible, lusciously honied flavours of yellow stonefruits and apricots with notes of pears and florals. This has good weight and presence with rounded core. The wine flows along a very light-textured line with soft acid freshness, and carries to a light, honied finish. This is an accessible, gently sweet and luscious Pinot Gris with apricot, honey and pear flavours with good palate presence. Serve with Asian and Middle Eastern fare over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Mangaorapa, fermented in seasoned oak to 13.0% alc. and 8.1 g/L RS, the wine aged 10 months on lees. 17.0+/20 Jul 2018 RRP $20.00
