Trinity Hill Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2012

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 11-Mar-2013
Clones 15, 95 and Mendoza from a variety of sites, WBP and partially indigenous yeast fermented in tank and French oak to 12.5% alc., a portion of the wine aged in oak, and a large percentage undergoing MLF. Bright straw-yellow colour with light lemon-green hues. The bouquet is fresh with delicate white stonefruit and citrus aromas along with some flint, nut and buttery MLF notes. Dry and light-bodied, this has an elegantly proportioned palate with straightforward, but up-front citrus and stonefruit flavours melded with butterscotch MLF. Some crisp acidity and textures carry the palate line to a dry, light and clean finish, with a raciness and cut. This is a clean and uncomplicated light-bodied Chardonnay with stonefruit and butterscotch flavours to match with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. 16.0/20 Mar 2013 RRP $20.00
