Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels The Gimblett 2019, Hawke’s Bay

Blended Red from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-May-2021
Deep, ruby-red with a purple core, lighter dark purple rim. The nose has power and elegantly presented, succulent aromas of plums, cassis and blackberries interweave vine leaves, medicinal herbs, along with beautiful cedary notes and spice enriched senses. Full-bodied, a robust palate with dense aromas blackberries, plums and cassis, entwined with herbal, leafy elements; tobacco leaf, cedar lends a dry, savoury finish. The palate is powerful, structured by mineral-rich, fine-grained robust tannin and lively acidity. The fruit has great concentration, lend a densely knitted palate guided by a savoury flow. This is a powerful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with complex flavours and excellent structure that shows varietal characters and a sense of place. Match with hearty stew and grilled meat over the next 10+ years. 13.5% alc. 19/20 pts (95 pts) May 2021 RRP $39.99
