Trinity Hill Chardonnay 2019, Hawkes Bay

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 08-Jun-2020
Bright, light yellow with a golden hue, even colour throughout. The nose is elegant with notes of lemon, grapefruit and peach; entwined with a soft buttery tone, warmed nuts and spices. The wine is vibrant with lacy acidity, presenting lively citrus, white peach nuances, lovely warmed nuts and spices. Medium-bodied, beautiful creamy texture with a lightness, raising a soften butter note, carrying smoothly to an elegant chalky textured sustained finish with an amalgam of spices. This is a gentle, sleek Chardonnay with the sweet fruit of citrus and peach; a creamy mouthfeel flows beautifully with warm butter and nuts, balanced with fine phenolic extraction. Match with poultry and white fish over the next 3-5 years. Fruit from vineyards of Bridge Pa, Maraekakaho, Haumoana, Gimblett Gravels & Ohiti, fermented to 13% alc. 18/20pts June 2020 RRP$22.99
