Trapiche ‘Vineyards’ Argentina Pinot Grigio 2013

Pinot Gris from Argentina
Review Date : 21-Feb-2014
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with slight lemon-green hues, lighter on rim. The nose is soft and initially light with clean and straightforward yellow stonefruit and honeysuckle aromas, unfolding to show tropical fruit notes with good density. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, light fruit flavours of stonefruits and honeysuckle show on a textured, phenolic palate. This has palate presence, countered by crisp acidity, and the flavours are carried by grainy textures to a dry finish. This is a clean, straightforward, aromatic Pinot Grigio with phenolic textures. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Tullum Valley, San Juan, hand-picked and cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $13.99
