Totara Marlborough Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Jun-2013
Bright, pale straw colour with light green hues. This has a fresh, delicate nose with white and yellow stonefruit aromas along with some flinty, nutty nuances suggesting lees work and a little bottle development. Dryish to taste and light-bodied, light and gentle white stonefruit flavours show with a little richness. The fruit is uncomplicated and balanced by lacy acidity. The mouthfeel is soft and flavours of honey, nuts and stonefruit open out on the finish. This is a light and simple dryish Pinot Gris that is approachable and easy. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2+ years. Pinot Gris fruit from a site on the northern banks of the Wairau River, and from the ‘Home’ site in the Waihopi, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.6 g/L rs. 15.5+/20 Jun 2013 RRP $19.95
