TOSQ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 08-Aug-2012
Even, purple-hued ruby-red colour, with a little garnet on rim. This has a light, freshly attractive and aromatic bouquet of soft red berry fruits along with red and violet florals, and herbal nuances. Medium-bodied, this is an elegantly proportioned wine with bright, up-front red floral and cherry-berry fruit flavours. Lively acidity enhances the fruitiness and the palate is supported by light, grainy tannins. This has drive and a good palate line which continues to a moderately long finish with an amalgam of floral and oak spices. This bright and lively, elegant Pinot Noir has an attractive floral and spicy lift. Serve with poultry and pork over the next 4-5 years. Fruit from the ‘Terrace' vineyard, Pisa, fermented to 14.2% alc., the wine aged 10 months in French oak. 140 cases made. 17.5-/20 Aug 2012 RRP $33.00
