TOSQ Central Otago Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 09-Nov-2017
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is very elegant and finely concentrated with fresh aromas of white stonefruits harmoniously entwined with subtle notes of honeysuckle, nuts and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has elegantly concentrated and gently sweet and rich flavours of white and yellow stonefruits with an amalgam of honeysuckle, nuts and minerals. The palate is refreshing and has a taut line with a fine phenolic thread and balanced acidity, leading to a light, lingering nuanced finish. This is an elegantly concentrated and finely presented dry Pinot Gris with subtly rich stonefruit, honied, nutty and mineral flavours on a taut, fresh palate. Match with seafood and poultry dishes over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from the ‘Roadside’ vineyard, 50% fermented in tank and 50% in barrel to 12.4% alc. and 4.8 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Nov 2017 RRP $26.00
