TOSQ Central Otago Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 15-Jul-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow with some lemon-green hues, lighter on edge. The bouquet is very clean and fresh with pure aromas of white and yellow stonefruit along with hints of citrus, pears and honeysuckle. Dryish to taste, the palate is elegant and slender, with tightly bound and crisp flavours of white stonefruits, honeysuckle and flint. The mouthfeel is very fine in texture and refreshing, with the fruit showing a delicate lusciousness and juiciness which leads to a bright and racy finish.. This is an elegant and fine-featured dryish Pinot Gris with pure stonefruit and honeysuckle nuances. Serve with white meats and most first courses over the next 3-4+ years. Fruit from the ‘Roadside’ vineyard, WBP and tank fermented to 13.8% alc. and 4.4 g/L rs, the wine aged on lees. 136 cases made. 17.5/20 Jul 2013 RRP $24.00
