TOSQ Central Otago Flora 2012

Other White from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 17-Jul-2013
Fruit from the ‘Roadside’ vineyard, stainless-steel fermented to 13.8 % alc., a small portion aged on lees in old oak. Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. The nose is very fresh and evenly presented with some breadth, showing waxy, herbal aromas with a delicate floral lift, along with lanolin-like nuances. Dryish to taste, gentle and intriguing flavours of herbs, spices and honey flow on a soft-textured palate. The acidity is balanced and refreshing, with alcoholic power emerging to provide drive and presence. The flavours are carried to a moderately long, dry finish. This Flora is gently flavoured and softly textured, but has some warmth, Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2-3+ years. 46 cases made. 16.5/20 Jul 2013 RRP $24.00
