Tortochot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er ‘Lavaux St Jacques’ 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 09-Feb-2012
Full, even ruby-red colour, youthful and bright, this is very elegant but quite complete on bouquet, with gentle red berry fruit aromas, complexed by spices, bacony oak and savoury elements. An elegant, medium-bodied wine , the palate features bright red berry fruits, spicy oak and fine-grained, supple tannins. The acidity adds brightness and fresh liveliness, and carries the long, firm and concentrated finish. This is a wine of elegance and understated structure and power, with nuances that will become more complex over the next 8-10+ years.  Feb 2012  RRP $99.00
