Tortochot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er ‘Champeaux’ 2009

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 09-Feb-2012
Light ruby-red in colour with garnet-purple hues, the bouquet displays an intriguing amalgam of bright soft red fruits with cooler dried herb elements and funky, savoury game. An elegantly sized and proportioned wine, this is quite accessible with its lush, gentle red berry fruit flavours that evolve with ethereal beauty, fine supple tannin grip, and fresh acidity. The finish reveals oak spices interwoven with red fruits and savoury nuances. This shows better ripeness on palate than on bouquet. Cellar 6-8+ years.  Feb 2012  RRP $99.00
