Torres ‘Vina Esmeralda’ Catalunya 2012

Muscat from Spain
Review Date : 18-Feb-2014
Bright pale straw yellow colour, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh and tight with intense and penetrating aromas of musky grapey fruits with white florals, herbs and mouth-watering minerally elements. Off-dry to taste, fresh and elegant flavours of florals, herbs and musk form a clean, crisp mouthfeel underlined by slippery, smooth textures and acidity. The flavours flow with linear dimension and liveliness to a long, lingering, musky, spicy finish. This is a fine and elegant, off-dry Moscatel-based wine with a smooth, linear flow. Match with Middle Eastern and Asian fare over the next 3 years. A blend of 85% Moscatel de Alejandria and 15% Gewurztraminer fermented to 11.5% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Feb 2014 RRP $23.99
