Torea Marlborough Pinot Noir 2014

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Sep-2016
Ruby-red colour with some depth, lighter on the rim, with youthful purple hues. The nose is fresh and fragrant with light, but bright aromas of raspberries and dark cherries, lifted by dark red florals, unfolding subtle notes of fresh herbs and liquorice. Medium-bodied, up-front, sweet dark cherry and berry fruit flavours are entwined with dark herb and liquorice notes and form a firm core with fine-grained tannins. The palate is fresh and youthful in expression, and flows with linear drive and integrated, balanced acidity. The wine carries to a moderately sustained finish with raspberry notes and a light, grainy grip. This is a fresh, up-front, sweet red-fruited Pinot Noir with some youthfully firm, but fine textures. Match with antipasto, poultry and pork over the next 3+ years. Marlborough fruit fermented to 13.5% alc. 16.5/20 Sep 2016 RRP $19.99
