Tora Bay ‘Tora Rock’ Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Feb-2015
Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues. The nose is fresh and tightly bound with aromas of gooseberries, limes and white florals, along with subtle notes of cut grass and thirst-quenching mineral notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of white florals, gooseberries and cut grass feature with a subtle lusciousness and succulence. The acidity initially enhances the fruitiness, then builds and melds with the fine phenolic textures to form a taut, dry, mouthwatering line. This has tension and drive, leading to a mineral finish with white floral aromatics. This is a taut, dry Sauvignon Blanc with white floral and minerally flavours. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables and goats cheese over the next 2+ years. Martinborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. 17.5-/20 Feb 2015 RRP $19.00
