Tono Hawke’s Bay Rosado 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 31-May-2015
Moderately deep salmon pink colour with light purple hues on edge. The nose is softly voluminous with aromas of savoury strawberry fruit along with notes of raspberries, fresh herbs and some earthy elements. The aromatics have a steely freshness at the heart and build in depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, flavours of savoury strawberry fruit are intermixed with herb and earthy nuances, and are enlivened by mouthwatering acidity. The wine has a slippery flow and follows a very fine thread of texture at the core, carrying to a long, rounded finish of lush, savoury berry fruits. This is a lively, mouthwatering and slippery rosé with funky strawberry flavours. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. Tempranillo fruit from the Haines and Lyons vineyards, indigenous yeast fermented with a portion in barrel to 13.0% alc. and dryness, the wine aged on lees. 16.0+/20 Mar 2015 RRP $20.00
