Tono Hawke’s Bay Albarino 2014

Other White from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 31-May-2015
Bright straw-yellow colour with light green hues, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh and sleek with deep and rich aromas of exotic white florals and lifted herbs along with musk, confectionary and fermentation esters. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned with a softly concentrated core of rich exotic florals, apricots and piquant herbs, lifted by youthful gum-like fermentation esters. The wine flows smoothly and the linearity is enhanced by slippery acidity which enlivens the fruitiness. This has clarity and focus, and the wine leads to a clean, fine and dry, aromatic finish. This is an elegant, slippery and focussed dry Albarino with youthful lift. Serve with seafood and most white meat dishes over the next 3+ years. First crop from the home vineyard, WBP and fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and dryness. 17.0+/20 Mar 2015 RRP $25.00
