Tohu ‘Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Sep-2014
Bright, full, pale straw colour with slight green hues. The nose is lifted and aromatic with harmoniously integrated notes of passionfruit, tropical fruits, white florals and fermentation esters, opening to reveal a deep core. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, juicy and mouthwatering flavours of passionfruit are enlivened by fine, lacy acidity. Tropical fruit nuances and lifted floral elements add to the aromatic expression. The mouthfeel is soft, with delicate phenolic textures melded with the fruit and acidity, and the wine has a fine linearity, leading to a soft, lingering finish. This is an elegant, bright and poised Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit flavours and a fine linearity. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. Fruit from the company’s Awatere Valley vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $19.95
