Bright, even straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, paler edged. The bouquet is very full and richly concentrated with layers of greengage, nectarine and green stonefruit flavours melded with dark herbs and complexing nutty barrel-ferment notes along with smoke and mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is rounded and softly concentrated with a core of flavours that unfold in layers, showing ripe greengages, nectarines, an array of green stonefruits, tropical fruits and herbs. The fruit is harmoniously melded with nutty oak elements, spices, minerals and the flavours fill the mouth with richness. The palate is smooth-textured, with subtle phenolics, and ripe, integrated acidity, and flows seamlessly to a long and sustained finish with rich stonefruit, nutty and smoky notes. This is a rich and concentrated, complex layered oak-influenced Sauvignon Blanc with a smooth, integrated mouthfeel. Match with herb-marinated poultry and pork dishes over the next 3+ years.
