Tohu Marlborough Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Jun-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The nose is very delicate and subtle with gently fresh aromas of white florals, lime fruit and hints of minerals, the fruit pristine, pure and mouthwatering in expression. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, concentrated and tightly restrained flavours of limes, white stonefruits and wet-stone minerals form a soft textured core. The mouthfeel is balanced with near-slippery acidity that provides good energy, drive and good linearity. The flavours flow smoothly to a thirst-quenching, dry finish with nuances of limes and minerals. This is a delicate and soft-textured dry Riesling with pristine fruit and minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 5-6 years. Fruit from the company’s Awatere vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 3.3 g/L RS, TA 8.3 g/L and pH 2.99. 18.0/20 Jun 2014 RRP $21.95
