Tohu Marlborough Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Feb-2011
Wine drinkers will appreciate the use of the International Riesling Foundation scale on the back label indicating this wine is dry to taste. Made from fruit from 8 y.o. vines in Tohu's Awatere vineyard, this was cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 6.0 g/L rs. Very pale straw yellow with green hues, this has the most beautifully fresh and elegant nose with intricacies of florals, blossom, lime fruit and honey. Dry to taste, soft, fine acid carries the lemon and lime zest flavours through the length of the palate. The delicacy and interwoven nuances of flavour are a joy. The wine has a very long lingering finish. An outstanding dry Riesling that should develop complexity over the next 4-6 years. 19.0/20 Dec 2010 RRP $19.95
