Tohu Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Nov-2015
Pinot Noir fruit from the Waihopi and Awatere ‘Winery’ vineyards given 24 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. Moderately deep, light pink-red colour with purple hues on the rim. The nose is softly concentrated and deeply packed with red berry fruit aromas along with raspberries and cream, entwined with subtle herbal nuances, red florals and some confectionary lift. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, sweet and lush raspberry and cream, and cherry flavoursshow with interwoven confectionary elements. This has a gentle phenolic-textured core and integrated acidity. The palate is carried by the fruit sweetness, and has mouthwatering balance. Confectionary elements are carried to a gentle, dry finish. This is a flavoursome, sweet-fruited, off-dry rosé with raspberry and cream flavours. Match with dim sum and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. 16.5/20 Nov 2015 RRP $21.95
