Tohu Marlborough Chardonnay 2011

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Dec-2011
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with some pale green hues on rim, this has fresh, clean aromas of citrus fruits and minerals with butternut MLF and flint notes in an up-front expression. Dry and medium-bodied, distinctive citrus and stonefruit flavours combine with buttery elements forming a good core with depth and intensity. The palate is finely textured with a creaminess, well-balanced by bright, fresh acidity. This is a clean, fresh and uncomplicated Chardonnay with smooth textures to serve with seafood, pasta and poultry over the next 3-4 years. Mainly clone 6 fruit from the Rapaura district, stainless-steel fermented to 13.0% alc. and dryness, the wine given lees-stirring, with a portion undergoing MLF. 17.5-/20 Dec 2011 RRP $21.95
