Tinpot Hut Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Feb-2014
Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on edge. The nose features delightfully fresh, mouthwatering and ripe aromas of gooseberry fruit with delicate, steely nettle and herbal elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, fresh and softly succulent flavours of gooseberries, herbs and nettles show a classical Awatere expression. The palate is thirst-quenchingly refreshing with lively, balanced acidity and a very fine textural line. The flavours flow with good tension and energy to a light, lingering finish. This is a textbook Awatere Sauvignon Blanc with refreshing gooseberry and nettly fruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and with creamy cheeses over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Home Block’ and two parcels from the Lower Wairau, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.8% alc. and 4.1 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $22.00
