Tin Cottage Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Sep-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is tightly bound, fresh and penetrating with intense aromas of gooseberries and fresh herbs, unfolding soft passionfruit notes from the core. The aromatics are well-focussed and expressed with clarity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is tightly bound with a concentrated core of deep gooseberry and passionfruit flavours, entwined with tropical fruit notes. The mouthfeel has linearity from fine phenolic textures and grip, with crisp, balancing acidity. The wine carries to a long, lingering, dry-textured finish with gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. This is a tightly concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with good intensity of gooseberry and passionfruit flavours on a crisp, linear palate. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2016 RRP $19.00
