Tiki ‘Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 05-Oct-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with some depth. The nose is soft and light, the fruit expression somewhat subdued, but unfolding and building in depth with aeration to show ripe, ripe, savoury passionfruit aromas along with yellow stonefruits and notes of tropical fruit, complexed by mineral suggestions. Dryish to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate features soft and gentle flavours of ripe passionfruit with savoury tropical fruits, yellow stonefruits and herb elements. The flavours are mouthfilling and the mouthfeel is soft with balanced, integrated ripe acidity. This has good palate presence and weight, and the wine flows smoothly to a full, broad and open finish with a slightly drying grip. This is a soft and restrained, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with arounded, weighty mouthfeel and presence. Match with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘River Terrace’ vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.7% alc. and 9.0 g/L RS, TA 7.4 g/L and pH 3.2. 17.0+/20 Oct 2016 RRP $22.99
