Tiki ‘Koro’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 27-Dec-2017
Even, light ruby-red colour, a little lighter edged with slight purple hues. The nose is elegantly presented with fragrant and lifted aromas of red cherry and berry fruit, along with red florals, unveiling fine liquorice and dark herb detail. The aromatics are the feature. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned with bright, fragrant flavours of red cherries and berries, along with red florals, and subtle notes of herbs and liquorice. The palate has a gentle richness and sweetness with an underlying linear drive. The mouthfeel is refreshing and lively with a fine-textured core and lively, balanced acidity. The wine carries to an elegant finish. This is an elegant, fragrant, red cherry and floral fruited Pinot Noir with a bright mouthfeel and fine tannins. Match with poultry and pork over the next 5-6 years. Clone 777, 114 and Abel from Wanaka, fermented with approx. 10% whole bunches to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 10% new oak. 18.0/20 Dec 2017 RRP $33.00
