Bright straw-yellow colour with pale green-gold hues. The nose is firmly concentrated and tightly bound with a well-packed core of savoury yellow stonefruits entwined with nutty lees and oak elements and a layering of flinty, minerally sulphide complexities. Medium-full bodied, the palate ha a fine, tight, linear core unfolding flavours of savoury yellow stonefruits melded with nutty lees and oak note and flinty mineral notes. The palate is firm and tut, with light textures and crisp, balancing acidity. The flavours lead to a lingering finish of stonefruits with funky sulphide complexities. This is a firm and concentrated, elegant Chardonnay with savoury stonefruit and nutty flavours complexed by flinty, sulphide complexities. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 3+ years. Waipara fruit indigenous yeast barrel-fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged one year on lees in French oak with batonnage and MLF. 17.0+/20 Jul 2017 RRP $19.99
