Tiki ‘Estate’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Jul-2015
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on edge. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with intense and penetrating aromas of gooseberries and passionfruit, melded with fresh herbs and wet stone minerals. This has concentration, clarity and punch. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of pungent passionfruit and gooseberries are expressed with real intensity and precision. The fruit has succulence and richness, which is finely cut and balanced by bright, lively, lacy and energising acidity. The wine follows a very fine-textured line, the subtle phenolics adding to the concentration and drive, and the flavours carry through to a very long, crisp, pungent finish. This is a vibrant, tightly bound, intensely pungent Sauvignon Blanc with subtle richness and a fine-textured, long-lingering finish. Serve with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2+ years. Fruit from the company’s Upper Wairau Valley vineyards, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. 18.5-/20 Jul 2015 RRP $19.99
