Tiki Estate Marlborough Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Dec-2011
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues, this has a very soft, gentle, well-integrated nose of pears and white stonefruit aromas lifted by some fresh fermentation esters. Dryish to taste, the flavours of pears, stonefruits and minerals and very well-knit and balanced, and sit on a soft, silky-textured and harmoniously constructed palate. Very fine acidity contributes to the gentleness and subtlety of the wine. 100% Pinot Gris from the ‘Rewa' vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.9% alc. and 6.43 g/L rs. Serve with Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine over the next 3-4+ years. 18.0-/20 Sep 2011 RRP $19.95
