Ti Point ‘Tess’ Matakana Coast White Merlot 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Northland & Auckland
Review Date : 28-Dec-2014
Named for Tess, winemaker Tracy Haslam’s daughter. 100% Merlot, hand-picked and WBP, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6.09 g/L RS. Very pale pink blush, near colourless on edge. This has a fresh, tightly bound nose with delicate aromas of white stonefruits with subtle nuances of red florals and red berry fruits. This is clean, pure and has focus. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is crisp with a firm and linear core of light red florals and subtle red berry fruits. The phenolics are very delicate and integral with the fruit nuances. The acidity lends energy and drive and the wine flows with zestiness to a light, dry, thirst-quenching finish. This is a delicate, dry blush wine with a good core and line. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 17.0+/20 Dec 2014 RRP $23.99
