Ti Point ‘Ruby’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 07-Aug-2016
Bright, candy floss pink with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is firm and tightly packed with aromas of cranberries, redcurrants and pomegranate along with subtle notes of herbs and nuts. This is mouth-wateringly fresh and builds in intensity revealing raspberry and floral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a sweet-fruited core of raspberries and cranberries with lifted red floral notes. The mouthfeel is fresh and brisk with crisp acidity balancing the fruit sweetness, and the wine follows a fine, grainy-textured line carrying through to a dry finish with nuances of fruit pastille confectionary. This is a sweet, raspberry fruited rosé with freshness and a mouthwatering texture. Serve with canapes and antipasto over the next 2 years. Merlot fruit, 90% given 2 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel tanks, and 10% saigneed juice given 12 hours skin contact and fermented in French oak barrels, the wine at 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $22.99
