Thorn-Clarke ‘Sandpiper’ Eden Valley Riesling 2015

Riesling from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 18-Nov-2015
Brilliant, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is very tightly bound and finely proportioned with aromas of fresh lime juice and white florals, rainwater and mouthwatering minerals. The delicacy allied to the subtle intensity of the aromatics is the feature. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the fruit is elegantly concentrated with mouthwatering flavours of limes, white florals, a touch of honeysuckle and minerals. The palate is guided by a light, dry, phenolic line and enlivened by refreshing, lacy acidity. This has good linearity, and the palate carries the textures to a long, dry, thirst-quenching finish with some grip. This is an elegant, finely flavoured dry Riesling with lime, floral and mineral notes and a thirst-quenching, dry-textured line. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and Asian fare over the next 3+ years. Fruit predominantly from the ‘Mount Crawford’ vineyard cool-fermented to12.0% alc. 17.0/20 Nov 2015 RRP AUS$19.00
