Thistle Ridge North Canterbury Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 02-Aug-2018
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, near colourless on edge. The nose is well-proportioned with good depth of aromatic gooseberry fruit melded with aromas of soft herbs and a hint of fragrant green beans. The nose is soft with good presence. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has luscious flavours gooseberries along with savoury herbs, a little green bean and green stonefruits. The fruit and mouthfeel is enlivened by brisk acidity, and the wine flows with good energy and tension along a fine- textured line, leading to an elegant finish. This is a luscious fruited Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry, herb and bean flavours enlivened by fresh acidity, and an elegant finish, Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. North Canterbury fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. 17.5-/20 Aug 2018 RRP $19.00
