Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Jul-2022
Bright, even pale yellow with a light green hue. The nose is full and generous, packed with aromas of sweet pear, toffee apple entwined with lily and a hint of spice. Medium-full bodied, dry-ish to taste, white lily leads the palate with ripe pear and apple, alongside ginger powder. The mouthfeel is smooth with fine talcum-like phenolics adorning the lush fruit. Lively acidity injects liveliness lingering to linearity. This is an elegant Pinot Gris with lush fruit and lily fragrance on a smooth palate. Match with pork dumplings and fish tacos over the next 2-3 years. Fermented to 12.5% alc. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) July 2022 RRP $20
