The Sisters Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 09-Oct-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is up-front and concentrated with an amalgam of pungent passionfruit, sweat and nettles, the aromatics in the cooler spectrum. Dry to taste and elegantly proportioned, this has a fine core of sweet passionfruit flavours. The fruit is enhanced by fresh acidity and some phenolics add to the line, resulting in a soft mouthfeel. The flavours taper to a light, dry finish with nettle and mineral nuances. This is a light, freshly pungent, up-front Sauvignon Blanc with soft textures. Match with seafood and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Wairau and Awatere Valley fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 2.6 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on lees. 3,700 cases made. 16.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $19.00
