Waihopi fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.4 g/L RS. Bright, very pale straw colour with some green hues. This has a fresh, tight and penetrating nose of pungent passionfruit with mouthwatering wet stone and mineral aromas. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, a tight and elegantly concentrated core of passionfruit and gooseberry flavours is enlivened by bright and brisk, refreshing acidity. The mouthfeel is finely textured with linearity and drive, the flavours slippery in flow. Sweet tropical fruit nuances, esters and minerals emerge, adding detail to the passionfruity core, and carrying through to a very long, zesty finish. This is an elegant, tightly bound and very refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with a racy and slippery mouthfeel.
