The Natural Wine Co. ‘Organic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Feb-2015
Bright straw-yellow colour with pale gold hues, lighter on rim. The nose is light with subtle aromas of tropical and yellow stonefruits, lifted with fresh herbal notes. The aromatics grow in the glass, revealing gooseberry, cut grass and nettly elements. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the flavours of gooseberries, cut grass and herbs are light but defined with clarity. The mouthfeel is zesty and racy, the acidity a little elevated, lending a thirst quenching line. The wine follows a fine textural thread to a light, moderately sustained finish with grassy and nettle-like nuances. This is a light, racy, gooseberry and grassy flavoured, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc. Serve as an aperitif, with salads and vegetables and antipasto over the next 18 months. Organically grown fruit from Marlborough cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. In conversion to AsureQuality organic certification. 15.5-/20 Feb 2015 RRP $19.95
