The Natural Wine Co. ‘Organic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Nov-2012
Fruit from the ‘Herkt Properties' vineyard north of Blenheim, juice transported to Gisborne and fermented to 13.0% alc. and 8 g/L rs. Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless on rim. This has a fresh, brash and youthful bouquet of green capsicums and grassy aromas in the cooler spectrum, lifted with sweet pea and esters . Dryish to taste, open and accessible gooseberry and grassy flavours show with moderate depth, and are enlivened by gentle, lacy acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth and rounded with soft textures, receding subtly to finish with delicate fresh herb flavours and a hint of sweetness. This is an up-front, approachable and soft Sauvignon Blanc in the cooler spectrum. Match with seafood, Mediterranean-styled salads and vegetables and poultry over the next 2 years. Vegan Wine. Certified AsureQuality organic. 16.5+/20 Nov 2012 RRP $22.00
