Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour, light on rim. The nose is very fresh, youthful and tightly bound with aromas of sweetly ripe gooseberries, limes and white florals, revealing pungent passionfruit notes and good depth in the glass. Dry to taste and elegantly presented, the palate combines juicy and succulent gooseberry and passionfruit flavours with chalky, minerally textures. This has depth and intensity, with racy and crisp acidity enlivening the fruitiness and driving the palate. Fine, drying textures carry the wine to a crisp and moderately sustained finish. This is a mouth-wateringly crisp and fine-textured dry Sauvignon Blanc to serve with seafood and creamy sauced white meat dishes over the next 2 years. Based on estate fruit with some contracted, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 5 months on lees. 17.5-/20 Apr 2014 RRP $16.99
