Even, light ruby-red colour with some depth and purple hues on the rim. The nose is fresh and elegant with elegant red cherry and fragrant red floral aromatics, along with subtle notes of fresh herbs. The nose intensifies with aeration, revealing spices and nutty oak elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate has sweet and luscious primary flavours of dark-red cherry and raspberry fruit, lifted by dark-red florals and fresh herbs, unfolding spice nuances. The flavours carry smoothly and are balanced by light, supple, grainy tannins, and good acid freshness. The flavours flow along a textured line, leading to a long, fresh finish. This is a rich and sweet, primary fruited Pinot Noir with dark-red cherry and raspberry fruit along with spice and herb nuances on a supple, grainy-textured palate. Match with antipasto, pasta and pizza, and barbecued red meats over the next 3+ years. Pinot Noir fruit from estate and grower vineyards, fully destemmed and fermented, 50% by indigenous yeasts to 13.3% alc., with two-thirds of the wine aged 4 months in 228 L barrels with 10% equivalence in new oak. 17.5-/20 Dec 2018 RRP $26.00
