The Hunting Lodge Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Sep-2018
Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, pale on the rim. The nose is softly fresh with an elegant core of white and yellow stonefruits along with subtle notes of florals and honeysuckle unfolding suggestions of nuts and minerals. Dryish to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate has delicate fruit flavours of white stonefruits along with subtle notes of florals, nuts and minerals. The palate is elegant in proportion and carries along a light phenolic-textured line with soft acidity, leading to a light finish. This is a delicate, dryish Pinot Gris with subtle stonefruit, floral, nutty and mineral notes on a light-textured palate. Serve as an aperitif and with poultry over the next 2-3 years. Pinot Gris fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc., and 7 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on light lees. 16.5/20 Sep 2018 RRP $24.00
