The Elder Martinborough Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 02-Dec-2014
Even ruby-red colour, paler on edge. This has a soft and elegant bouquet with gentle and subtle complexing layers of savoury red berry fruits, dark and dried herbs, along with spices, hints of cedary oak and lifted red florals. Light-medium bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned and smooth-flowing, the wine harmoniously integrated with red berry fruits, florals, hints of dried herbs and a little cedar. The extraction is fine-grained and supple, the fruit quite slender, with acid cut providing freshness and line. The wine has a zesty, dry-textured, fine finish. This is soft, up-front and has cooler red fruits. 3-4 years. 17.0+/20 Nov 2014 RRP $62.00
