Full, deep ruby-red, lighter on the rim. The nose is gently full, displaying aromas of blackberry, fig and blueberry compote, underlying sweet spices. Full-bodied, aromas of blackberry, fig and blueberry compote entwined with dry herb, cinnamon and nutmeg. The fruit is succulent with balanced, mouthwatering acidity. Fine-grained tannins are well integrated into the wine and leave a silky mouthfeel. This Petite Sirah shows elegance, balanced ripe fruit and fine-grained mouthfeel. Match with barbeque lamb and roasted beef over the next 5 years. A blend of 86% Petite Sirah, 10% Merlot, 2% Zinfandel, and 2% Syrah, fermented to 14.5% alc, aged 12 months in a combination of French, Hungarian and American oak. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Aug 2022 RRP $30
