Moderately deep ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is soft with gentle aromas of tobacco and dried herbs, along with earthy redcurrant fruit that build to form a soft core. Medium-bodied and slender in proportion, the palate possesses light curranty fruit flavours along with light notes of fresh and dried herbs and a subtle floral lift. This is brisk with a racy mouthfeel, the acidity elevated. The wine follows a light, fine-grained tannin line that leads to a dry finish carried by the acidity with redcurrant and herb elements. This is a slender Cabernet Franc with currant and herb flavours, and racy mouthfeel from brisk acidity. Serve with pasta, pizza, poultry and pork over the next 3+ years. Fruit from 25 y.o. vines fermented to 13.2% alc., the wine aged one year in oak. 15.5+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $30.00
