The Better Half Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 01-Aug-2017
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is tight and firmly concentrated with penetrating aromas of fresh gooseberries, cut grass, fresh herbs, capsicums and lighter notes of passionfruit. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is tightly bound with a firm-textured, concentrated core of cut grass, fresh herbs, gooseberries, and passionfruit notes. The palate is mouth-wateringly dry with fine, crisp, acid briskness, and the wine flows along a taut, tight line, leading to a lingering finish of cut grass, capsicums and green stonefruits. This is a firmly concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with flavours of cut grass, herbs, gooseberries and passionfruit, on a very dry, crisp, mouthwatering palate. Match with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2+ years. Fruit primarily from the Dillons Point sub-region, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.3% alc. and 1.0 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Aug 2017 RRP $18.99
