TerraVin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Apr-2012
Pale straw-yellow and youthful, this has soft, full aromas of limes and ripe capsicums, well-ripened with a touch of varietal grassiness and green beans. Dry with lovely soft textures, light gooseberry flavours fill the palate, the underlying acidity mouthwatering and providing excellent tension. This has weight and presence and good length. This has an excellent combination of freshness with softness.  18.0+/20  Apr 2012 Bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold hues, this has a fresh, elegant nose of bright, light passionfruit and English gooseberries, altogether harmonious and with a gentleness of expression. Dry on palate, the flavours of ripe gooseberries and passionfruit are combined with notes of garden herbs and beans. Crisp, slippery acidity lends a fineness to the concentrated fruit and sustains a long finish showing luscious notes of herbs and stonefruits. Match with seafood, poultry and vegetables over the next 2-3 years. Southern Valleys fruit 80% hand-picked, cool-fermented to 14.0% alc. and 3.3 g/L rs, 8% wild yeast fermented and aged in seasoned French oak. 18.0/20 Aug 2011 RRP $26.00
